The City of Alexandria’s Office of Housing is excited to announce the release of Draft Recommendations and Strategies for the Housing 2040 Plan! Please share your thoughts via this platform, email, or voicemail by calling 855.925.2801, Project Code: 2469. 

Feedback will be accepted through March 22. Your feedback will inform the final draft Housing 2040 Plan. Thank you!

Steps to submit feedback:

1. Select a goal using the tabs along the top of the page or the links below.
2. Review the draft recommendations and strategies associated with that goal.
3. For any recommendations and strategies you would like to respond to, provide feedback in the text box, and click the button to submit your feedback.
4.  Use the multiple-choice options to signal your agreement with the recommendations and strategies.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 for any other goals whose recommendations you want to provide feedback on. You can provide feedback on as many or as few as you want.
6. Click the "Finalize Feedback" to take you to the last page of the survey to finish submitting your responses.

Background: The 2013 Housing Master Plan (HMP) established principles, goals, and strategies to address Alexandria's housing needs through 2025. In collaboration with the community and local partners, the City is updating the HMP to identify and address the city’s housing priorities through 2040. Meeting and project materials are available at alexandriava.gov/HousingPlan. The draft Housing 2040 Plan is anticipated to be docketed for public hearing in June 2026.
